What a busy, busy week it has been. My head has been spinning non stop with the build up of things to do, attend, wrap up... will it ever stop?!?! This last week in my current job before starting my new role next week has been quite challenging and stressful. So many loose ends to tie up and not enough time left. I packed up my desk yesterday and it felt so weird to be moving! (a happy weird) As I always say, God will not throw something at you that you cannot handle, and this job was definitely one of those situations.
On a lighter note, Monday was the first art class for Lacey and me!! It's a watercolor class; we did no painting, just reviewing what supplies are needed, teacher demonstration, etc. The professor is leaving a little bit to be desired so far, but we did perk up when we found out he'll have music for us going forward while we are painting! haha, anything to break the dullness, right :) If anyone has some great pictures (flowers, land/sea scapes) send them my way!
Finally made it out to a TNT run on Tuesday and it was GREAT! It was wonderful to see all those happy upbeat faces again. I have truly missed that family. I was not expecting much from myself in terms of the run. To be honest I was hoping I could make it 3 miles without having to walk. It was my first outdoor run in quite a while. I'm happy to report that the run felt so good that I went beyond the three miles I set for myself and threw in an extra mile... it was the best 4 mile run in a very long time and I have a new sense of motivation and determination. We offically kicked off the TNT season last night with our Kickoff Celebration. It was the best turn out for the group in over 2 years!! We have an exciting, outgoing group and I can't wait to get started! If it wasn't for the snow/freezing rain headed our way tonight we'd be out there for our first season training tomorrow morning. Due to the weather we pushed it to next Tuesday so I'll have to bring something good for the group. I love all my mentees! More good things to come, I'm sure!
